STANDING RULES
1) Each president of KCRW shall receive a TFRW President’s Pin, when installed in office in December.
2) Dues received from a member joining the club after October first of any year will be applied to the following year. Purpose is to prevent members paying dues to join in October or November from having to pay again in January.
3) Money shall be budgeted for fund raising projects.
4) Memorials for immediate family members shall be limited to $10. Sympathy cards shall be sent for non-immediate family members. Memorials from KCRW will be sent to either the Cleo Bohis (TFRW), Dorothy Kabis (NFRW) Memorial Funds or Barbara Bush Literacy Council (NFRW), or any other approved TFRW and NFRW funds.
5) The club will pay for the lunch of one representative from each of the two (2) media entities in Boerne, The Boerne Star and Hill Country Weekly, and one representative from The Comfort News. Additional media will be paid for as deemed necessary by the club.
6) Fees and registration expenses of the delegate and/or alternate delegate to the NFRW Convention may be paid by the club, if the board so approves.
7) In order to comply with TFRW and NFRW requirements, KCRW members are required to keep a current or running record of all campaign hours spent before or during an election year.
8) An inventory of all KCRW permanent property, flags, dishes, signs, etc., and where they are located, will be maintained by the club secretary.
9) Committee chairpersons may select a co-chairperson as soon as they are appointed. In the event that a chairperson cannot attend a board meeting, the co-chairperson may attend.
10) When the Hotline has to be implemented, the telephone committee/Publicity Chair will be incorporated into the Hotline
11) The KCRW treasurer need not seek approval at meetings to pay bills that have been budgeted, or have previously been approved by the board.
12) Honoraria in the form of contributions to various funds of TFRW and NFRW will be made in the amount of $10 for out-of-town speakers only.
13) KCRW e-newsletters shall be emailed to all current dues-paying members, and the necessary copies for TFRW and NFRW awards participation. A hard copy will be mailed to members without an email address.
14) These rules will be reviewed and adopted or revised every two (2) years by the new board. Last revision was in 2011.
